The Lady of Shalott

Ah! Anne of Green Gables favorite poem, May 28, 2014
If you liked that series, read this and understand Anne's imagination involuntarily taking flight - well, and she also reinacted it! The mood will strike you and you will read it again and again - that is those of you with a vivid imagination and a bent for romance will.

I think it was good and I liked it. The poem is one if my favorite poems out there to read.

Beautiful, March 26, 2014
This is my favorite work of Lord Alfred Tennyson. Beautiful, moving, and classic.

There she weaves by night and day
A magic web with colours gay.
She has heard a whisper say,
A curse is on her if she stay
To look down to Camelot.

I just love the rhythm and melodic flow in this poem.

The Lady of Shallot., May 4, 2013
It was a poem I learnt many many years ago at school. It told a lovely story... like a fairy tale. So I've always loved it.

This is one of my all time favorites! I never get tired of reading it. If you've never read it, you should give it a try.

Timeless romantic tragedy, December 13, 2012
I first heard this in the late 80s when Anne of Green Gables read it aloud as an orphan girl portrayed by Megan Follows. Subsequently I chose this as a literature study in college and have loved it ever since.
